Dear Terrell Families,
We’ve had a fantastic week engaging with the Boosterthon team and celebrating Character Counts Week! Our students have been learning and living out important character traits, and it’s been inspiring to see their growth and enthusiasm.
We’ve noticed an increase in students arriving before 7:15 AM and being left unsupervised outside the school. This creates a serious safety concern, as staff are not available to monitor students until 7:15 AM.
To ensure all students are safe:
- Please do not drop off your child before 7:15 AM.
- If you arrive early, remain with your child until staff supervision begins.
- Consider adjusting your drop-off time to align with our supervision schedule.
We appreciate your partnership in keeping our students safe and secure. Thank you for your attention to this important matter!
We’re looking forward to even more fun next week with our Glow Run on Tuesday, October 28, and all the exciting activities planned for Red Ribbon Week. We’ll wrap up the week with a special Book Character Dress-Up Day and Parade for students and staff only. Students are encouraged to bring a book that represents the character they’re dressing up as. Please remember—no scary costumes, masks, or weapons will be allowed, and we recommend wearing sneakers or shoes suitable for recess.
Also, a reminder that Friday, October 31st is an early release day at 11:45 AM.
We hope you enjoy all the fun that October brings with your friends and family. Thank you for your continued support in making Terrell Elementary a joyful place to learn and grow!
Warmly,
Brittany D. Carpenter
