Let's Get This Party Started!

As we prepare for an incredible school year at Terrell Elementary, our dedicated teachers continue to prepare through collaborative planning and professional development, focusing on creating engaging, inclusive, and high-impact classroom experiences. This time together allows us to align our goals, share best practices, and prepare to meet the unique needs of every student. We are thrilled to welcome our families back and look forward to seeing the joy and growth that this year will bring.

Parent Input - Follow-Up

Thank you so much to parents who attended or provided feedback in our back to school, parent input meetings and surveys. Based on your feedback I have identified a few priorties which we will begin to address as a school:

Parents desire increased communication, especially regarding curriculum or student progress. We will be sending parent newsletters each Sunday at 3, both as a campus and as a grade level. We will hold three parent-teacher conference options throughout the year, aligning with our assessment windows, during which your students will engage with you and their teacher to share their growth, opportunities, and goals.
Parents expressed an interest in a soccer club- we will be sharing more information about this club soon! Please email Mrs. Carpenter to let us know if you are available to support this program for our students.
Parents wanted more information about how they can volunteer. Please look for more information about this at our Meet-The-Teacher Event.
Parents wanted clarity about school safety. Please review our district information about safety drills. If you have other questions, feel free to reach out at any time.

Terrell Spirit Store

The Terrell Spirit store is live! Place your orders now! The store will close on Aug. 20 at midnight.

Beginning of Year Forms

Please ensure you complete your beginning-of-year forms as soon as possible in the Skyward Family Access Center. Visit the LCISD site if you need assistance with completing these. Ensure you initial all pages and submit.

If you have not received an email from your teacher by 4:00 p.m. on August 6, it may indicate that your forms are not showing as completed in Skyward. Those who do not have their teacher before Aug. 7 will need to report to the registration table in the cafeteria on August 7 to receive their teacher's name / room number.

Last Day to Complete the 2025-2026 Student Transportation Form

Today is the last day to complete he 2025-2026 Student Transportation Form in Skyward Family Access. This form provides our transportation department with important information to organize bus routes for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.

Each student, no matter their form of transportation, must have a transportation form completed by their parent or guardian before Aug. 3. Log into Family Access to fill out and submit the form. Contact your student's campus for more information.

On-Site After School Childcare

Gingerbread Kids Academy will be the After-School Program at Terrell. To register for the AfterSchool Program, please visit their website at www.gbkidsacademy.com.

Dress Code

Terrell Elementary will follow the District Dress Code as outlined in the Student Handbook (no uniforms). We invite students to wear college shirts on Mondays, Gators Gear on Wednesdays, and spirit (Terrell Koala) shirts on Fridays. See page 42-43 for district dress code.
